Lester C. McClelland

Born in Masontown, Pennsylvania
Colonel McClelland retired in 1980 as aircraft commander of Air Force One, after 26 years in the U.S. Air Force. During President Gerald Ford’s administration from 1974 until 1976, he was aircraft commander of Air Force One, and also during President Jimmy Carter’s administration from 1976 until 1980. He later retired from Canadair in 1995, after 15 years as a director of flight operations. He then worked until 2003 as the chief pilot for Cape Clear, LLC.
