The Fayette County Entrepreneurial and Educational Center, located at 139 West Crawford Avenue in Connellsville, is an initiative of the Fayette County Cultural Trust dedicated to expanding opportunities for learning, creativity, and economic growth in the region. Housed in a historic downtown building, the center serves as a place where education, entrepreneurship, history, and the arts come together to support community development and inspire new ideas for the future of Fayette County. The facility is developed as a regional Business Assistance Service Center, aligning with economic development priorities supported by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), while also functioning as a Community Engagement Center, welcoming partnerships with universities, educators, artists, and civic organizations.

The facility includes several distinctive spaces designed to support a wide range of programs and activities. A Native American Cultural Center displays locally discovered artifacts and offers visitors and students the opportunity to learn about the region’s earliest inhabitants and the deep cultural history of Southwestern Pennsylvania. A modern classroom capable of seating up to 45 participants provides space for workshops, lectures, entrepreneurial training, and educational programs focused on developing practical skills, expanding knowledge, and helping individuals explore and launch new business ventures. In addition, the building features an intimate 75-seat black box theater, a flexible performance and teaching space designed for small theatrical productions, presentations, film screenings, and creative workshops.

Through these spaces and programs, the center also serves as a resource for assisting business startups and advancing entrepreneurial opportunities throughout the region. By offering educational programming, mentorship opportunities, and connections to regional partners, the Fayette County Cultural Trust is helping aspiring entrepreneurs develop ideas, build skills, and take meaningful steps toward starting and growing successful businesses. Together, these efforts are transforming 139 West Crawford Avenue into a dynamic hub where residents, students, artists, educators, and innovators can learn, collaborate, and help shape the economic and cultural future Southwestern, Pennsylvania.

The Fayette County Cultural Trust extends its sincere gratitude to the Eden Hall Foundation for its generous support in helping bring the Black Box Theater at the Fayette County Entrepreneurial and Educational Center to life. Their investment has made it possible to create an intimate 75-seat performance and teaching venue that will serve as a space for education, small theatrical productions, film presentations, and community programming for years to come. We are also deeply thankful to TriState Capital Bank for providing Special Program Priorities (SPP) funding that helped support important renovations within the Entrepreneurial and Educational Center at 139 West Crawford Avenue. Their support has strengthened the building as a hub for learning, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. Together, these partnerships demonstrate how visionary philanthropy and corporate leadership can help create lasting opportunities that enrich the cultural and economic vitality of Connellsville and the greater Fayette County region.
